A Case Of Mental Orgasm Poem by Melanie Emikohe

A Case Of Mental Orgasm

Don't correct me for being Quiet
I am not plotting to shoot
neither too timid to make a buzz

It is loudly evident
you are all having a juicy chat
nibbling the details
flushed gums, vibrating uvulas

I have an important visit
a sit-down session
with somebody I relate the most

"stripping ideas,
dissecting their textiles
analyzing if the yarn is worth the dress
weaving patterns

to a brand new philosophy

making sense of my affairs
rather than rolling them neatly
according to colors, textures
as simple disposable experiences
you don't realize how orgasmic
it is for me to contemplate"

This can't be halted
pity not my state of friendlessness
I have no need of intervention
I am never lonely

obsessive conversations
with my invisible other half
