When I was young I had a friend
Who was more to me than anything
We'd talk from morn until the noon
And run around in the afternoon
And when that came we'd play to death
We'd dance and sing 'til we're out of breath
And when dusk comes in we'd go home and watch
Horror movies borrowed from our neighbour's tapes
And in the weekdays we'd go to school
We'd go together from their home to her room
And then I'd go counting the hours until the noon
For there she'd share her delightful food
When the drinks are done and stomachs full
We'd run around, chasing each other like fools
Oh how happy we were when we didn't know
The problems and struggles of the world we're on
And up to this day, you're still my friend
No matter where you are and whatever happened
Those happy moments are our glory days
No one can take them nor will they fade
