A Christian Poem by Randy McClave

A Christian

You call yourself a Christian
But, unto our lord Jesus do you listen,
So, are you one truly and really
Or are are you just lying, or just being silly.
Do you follow and adhere to Christianity
And do you shout it out to all humanity,
Do you follow the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ
Knowing that he died for you on the cross for a price.
Have you started a relationship with God
Telling him that you are indeed flawed,
Then unto the Lord have you confessed
If so, then you will then feel blessed.
Have you ever repented
For your forgiveness have you lamented,
Then have you acknowledged all of your sins
That is where salvation always begins.
Do you go to church with others for fellowship
With a joyous heart and with not one little quip,
Do you do and believe as Jesus had did
While never letting your faith or belief in him be hid.
God wants you to have peace
And he doesn't want it ever to cease,
Then you will bring joy unto his eyes
When in the name of our Lord Jesus you are Baptized.
Calling yourself a Christian doesn't make you one
God knows, and he always watches and listens from days on,
But, when unto Jesus you have been born again and saved
Then unto heaven as a Christian your road has been paved.
