They say this is a Christian nation
They say it with a stern exclamation,
But, then they called me a libtard
Just because, I used my Jesus card.
I helped feed the poor
And I loved my enemies ever more,
And I forgave others who had done we wrong
Then humbly it made me strong.
I did what the lord Jesus had taught
His teachings is what I had sought,
And his every word I read and did listen
I then was saved and became a Christian.
I treated others with faith and kindness
As Jesus's teachings will always remind us,
And I loved all my neighbors
No matter of their deeds or of their labors.
I have never been greedy
I have always helped the poor and the needy,
Never did I mock others
Because, they are my sisters and brothers.
I worship the Lord Jesus in Church
Not only on Easter or Christmas do I search,
I always take my children there
And in the same pew we all sing and say a prayer.
They say we are a Christian nation
I wonder where they got that information,
Then I hear their hate and lies and they bedlam
I don't see Christ in any of them.
