A Christmas Poem Poem by Ernest Gilbert

A Christmas Poem

So, congrats to the Birthday Boy
The One True Trickster
with His heart
of gold
and His burden of light,
Bless His heart

today at 1: 00
He'll be doing magic tricks
for the children in cages
who need Him so badly

He needs an assistant

Well conceived and nicely penned. A beautiful creation. Thanks for sharing Ernest.

and His burden of light, Bless His heart I like the play on the verse of his burden being light and the actual burden of having light, being the vessel of light in a world so dark. I attempted to try to jump ahead of you in this poem and pin down your feelings on Christ. The fact that I could not, had me reading and re-reading it.
