A Congress....In Cognitive.....Recess Poem by James B. Earley

A Congress....In Cognitive.....Recess

.....Being a drunken kid...at seventeen
Should not in and of itself demean...
'Tis problematic when the adult fails to take
.....Responsibility for...that kid's mistake

Later on.....in life....deny.....
Fudging facts where memories lie
Blind man sees the "character flaw"...
Yet.....a lifetime appointment judging law

.....Awaits.....the drunken kid....of seventeen
Though that transgression alone should not demean
....But remains problematic when the adult fails to take
Responsibility.....for.....that kid's........mistake

An insightful piece. Definitive proof of assault may be problematic, but lies under oath, demeanor and partisan conspiracy rants should disqualify anyone from a lifetime appointment to our supreme court, where laws will effect millions.
