The sky breathes into my lungs
A cool sweet breath
A radiant sun hides shyly
Behind her sheer silver veils
The airplanes fly over my head
They leave long, white trails
The grass now tickles my toes,
After long days of icy repose.
And the sky breathes through my clothes
A cool sweet breath.
The trees whisper tales of winter
Of shed leaves and dry bark
The first blossom now sways in the wind
And its bittersweet aroma wafts through the air
A downy petal kisses my cheek
It’ll travel off in the breeze, who knows where
And the sky breathes into my hair
A cool sweet breath.
And the sky breathes through my clothes A cool sweet breath.......................................bedazzled by the imagery when lucid with ingenuity yet smooching sui-generis,10/10, thanks for sharing
Very fine poem, very rich in olfactory and visual elements. They are symbolic too, and there's a narrative sensuality.
