A Covenant With My Eyes Poem by Dr. Antony Theodore

A Covenant With My Eyes

Rating: 1.0

Job wrote this at
the end of his trials.

With all that he has
lost and endured,
he is not giving himself
any room to sin even
though he has been
through so much.

I have seen this
happen a thousand times.

Someone goes through
a trying period in their life,
and they remain faithful
to God and persevere
but then as it gets
towards the end,
and things start
to look up, they
fall into sin
and give in to a
moment of
self-indulgence.

Job resolves that
he won't give in
to the temptation to
look at another woman

‭‭Job‬ ‭31: 1
'I have made a covenant
with my eyes;
How then could I gaze at a virgin? '
