A Cult Forms Around The Word 'although' Poem by Raj Dronamraju

A Cult Forms Around The Word 'although'

A cult is secrecy, fierce devotion, and questionable practices like polygamy
They keep each other prisoner; they make a pyramid of the gullible
And though their mania has long searched for outlets, it is now structuring itself around a word

I am more than one idea
This assembly line unit is responsible for a single part of the fully constructed item
I can present something impartially then fully refute it
Immediately, the bigger picture separates itself into distinguishable divisions

She loved the leader because he addressed her in more than orders
Presented arguments rather than gave commands
Was a thoughtful knight jousting with the dragons of dogma

She loved the leader because he was thoughtful
Spoke precisely in the language of a teacher
Used his hands when speaking to make points rather than to hit people
