A Cup Of Solace Poem by Benjamin Chiu Uy

A Cup Of Solace

A Cup Providing Solace

It's a night on tea cups,
life evolved from nostalgic summers
whose flights are as similar as wings and kites,

Back to into the black saps, tea leaves,
the domain of circumstances,

It waits for the mixture of sugar and the milk
to enhanced the flavor,
back from the boiling water,
apart from the stove,

I ‘m availed of luxuries
the body can afford,
All the comforts of
the temporal home can offer,

A cup providing solace,
Grand inaudible noble thoughts,
of the circumstances,

I am giving what's due
as life gives back,
The pleasure of the moment,
aromatic blend of exultation
sans the callous outrages

The only time in the world is at peace,
believing something's right
in spite of the killings and life's extinction,

Belonging as advocate of
my hightend stereo sets,
That vocalized romance, life's mysteries
and the triumphs of justice,

It can be lonely here sometimes but music
calmed the unpleasant thoughts
to the ease of painless amnesia,

Made my body more amicable,
to the lost souls, fathers, daughters
and lost sons of disrupted lives,
despite's their good intentions and
and the senseless provocations
of our desperate times,
