A Dance Poem by RIC BASTASA

A Dance

on the silver railings
lining the side of the stairs
she presses
her thighs and breasts
the poles
unaffected
my eyes gaze like the sun
surprising the
blackness of
her hair
i am light penetrating
the tightness
of unbelief
