Mark 14: 34…”My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death.”
“I don’t want to die! ” Called out the man
As the cancer…. pulsed through his veins.
His heart was weighed down heavily
As he cried to God… his life now to save.
He even asked of the Father
To stop the whole thing…to find an easier way.
Jesus too struggled with accepting his own
On a cross of sins…one long ago… remembered day.
“Take this cup from me! ”
Was Jesus’ cry unto His Father God.
The people hearing this response of Jesus
Thought it somewhat… odd.
“Yet not what I will…but what you will”
Was the response… that changed everything.
“Yet”…made the difference in the world
Death for life eternal…was really Jesus’ true exchange.
Now Jesus speaks…His good new to us
To comfort us…in our darkest place.
When we struggle and fear to let go
To pass to…Homes’ Heavenly place.
