A Dictator's Spell Poem by nicola burkett

A Dictator's Spell

Rating: 5.0

He brainwashed the minds of millions
And sent them all to hell
He mutilated and slaughtered
With a dictators spell
Innocent blood spilled
Upon a land of Hate and desperation
Grief and pain forced upon
A dominated abused nation
Even after his dark statue
Was pulled and torn down
His demonic cloud still hovered
Above a fearful helpless town
On that fateful day
Of December 12th 2006
We blinded ourselves with hope
That his mess we could fix
We tried to rebuild the mess
And cure their false hate
But instead we are all heading
For the same severe fate

So true Nicke. Sometimes I despair of the human race - but knowing there are people out there who care enough to write poems like this one gives me hope. Hugs Anna xxx
