Had a different cup of coffee,
With a friend the other day.
We hadn't spoken in quite some time,
Because of something that one of us did say.
I thought our meeting would be cold,
But we hugged and cried our tears.
For we had always been there for each other,
Meeting for coffee and conversation through the years.
She told me she was sorry,
For the way she treated me.
I returned the comment back to her,
For I thought It was me, you see.
The coffee we had tasted better,
Much better than I'd ever known.
Because of God's redeeming Grace,
In my heart the love He formed.
