A Dream Poem by Ahmed Elbadri

A Dream

Rating: 5.0

You were wearing your favourite dress
You gave me a smile that was greater than the Monolisa
You spoke in such a voice only heard by angels
You were more stunning then the North Star

You said to me with your soft voice "I will always be there"
You walked towards me, as each step brought you closer my heart beat faster and faster
You gazed at me with your blue eyes which is more magnificent then the world we live on

When you are close enough for me to hold you in my arms, you whispered in my ear "I love you"
As i held you, your skin feels like the finniest silk of the Persian empire
You have a secant that can only be described as addictive
And a complication that makes Aphrodite blush

But you start to drift away slowly
I lose my grip and you slip out of my grasp
You start to disappear into the fog
But i will not frown because I will wake up to you by my side
