A Dream Divine Poem by Kishore Asthana

An angel flew over me as I slept
And I dreamt a dream divine
The light from its halo fell on my body
And it was no longer mine

My heart was for those who cared
My arms were for those who dared
My eyes were for those who saw
The helpless and the weak
And to those who could cry no more
I gave my tongue to speak

And so on the glow spread
Till on everything it did shine
At that moment I was the world
And the world was mine
