A Drunken Soul Waiting Poem by NITHEESH ANNADANAM

A Drunken Soul Waiting

Rating: 5.0

He went out, sat in his car and held its steering,
He felt giddy and his eyes started closing by themselves.
Yes, he was drunk indeed!
But he ignited the car and started driving
He went on driving and driving!
There came many havocs but he escaped all!
But finally the effect of the killing liquor gripped him alas!
Now he banged against a huge tree and was done.
When he opened his eyes,
He found himself floating in the air and
He went up and up above.

As he peeped from the skies,
He saw a drunken man getting into his car.
'Fool', muttered he,
'But, hurry up! , I shall be waiting for you here',
He said in all delight!
