The Baby's Cry Poem by NITHEESH ANNADANAM

The Baby's Cry

Rating: 5.0

Pregnant woman, rich and noble, went to hospitals and bore babies
No pain, No suffering

But a poor pregnant lady, about to give birth to her baby lay by the road

She shouted and screamed
She shrieked and yelled

Some people flocked around her and took photographs
News channels ran a live telecast

She screamed with pain and took a deep breath
Which was her last one

And the baby was born

The baby looked at the people around

Laughed at itself and then cried
for being born in such a society
