A Failure Poem by Marvin Brato Sr

A Failure

Rating: 5.0

A failure...

Is the state
of having
accomplished
nothing
out of
something.

Do you fail today?

An intruiging statement, and concept, Marvin...Failure is subjective, and i've always gauged it on what an individual is capable of versus what they produce in the end. Similar to your theory, but not as clear-cut....i believe one can consider themself a success if they have tapped all their resources, yet still fell short of expectations....Conversely, i also believe if someone is highly gifted, and knows that they are far better than the field they are in, & because so...they do succeed, but do so by exerting minimal effort....In my eyes, that person has failed. Thhey have not true to themselves or to those around him...Nice work, Marvin! FjR

Being a winner, I find it somewhat difficult to comment on a failure. I believe what you say is very profound and definitely true. We especially the people of North America have been blessed with many gifts, yet there are many failures in our society. I also believe that these particular failures don't necessarily want to remain that way and all it takes is a caring, loving individual to offer a helping hand and bring them back on track, so it's not necessary for anyone to be called a failure, all they need is a little help from the winners that care. Excellent poem, enjoyed the read.--Melvina--
