A Fallen Star Poem by Dorsey Baker

A Fallen Star

go down
like a snake
with no head
thinking you're alive
but you're really dead

feeling
no pain
just watching
the pouring rain
as sadness
floods your
worn out brain

lips shaky
from speaking evil lies
emptiness
in your bloodshot eyes

you crawl slowly
in your small crawl space
so much unhappiness
upon your
tear stained face
