A Fish Out Of Water - Poem by Mark Heathcote

Slivering across glass
as the spinal river
moved on beneath her
pelvic fins, impasse
a fish out of the water
gills exposed in full
breathless, panting
This is love
using an expletive
Me 'at last' she said.
