A Fleecing Poem by Ray Hansell

A Fleecing

Heading to divorce court
Off we both go
Carrying stacks of paper
With documents to show

She has her attorney
I have my own
Trying to save my back account
Along with my home

Now, see wants everything
She says, she's entitled
All the time watching her
She acting so unbridled

The only benefactors
Are going to be the attorney's
I already know
This will be a fleecing journey

Because when all is said and done
We'll both walk away with half
The attorney's on the other hand
Are going to have the biggest laugh
