I came to you in the darkness
I gently held your hand
You've done more than anyone
In helping me to understand

You told me that love
Is a feeling to be shared
It's a special kind of bond
Between two people when they care

That was when I told you
What I was feeling for you inside
A feeling of overwhelming happiness
That my heart can no longer hide

I guess if you translate that
I'm saying, "I Love You"
A feeling that I've held so long
I know you never knew

I'm telling you so that you know
Just how much I really care
I also want you to know
My love for you will fill the air
