A Frenzy Defying Time And Space Poem by Joshua Mccoy

A Frenzy Defying Time And Space

Through the blackest sea
Through the darkest night
Nothing will keep me from my beloved light.
From engaging the harsh sands storms of Egypt
Through traversing the sweltering jungles of Peru
The world itself couldn’t block me from the sweetness of you.
Even if concealed by the shroud of shadows,
Kept locked within the deepest pit in Hades,
You would still be the target locked dead in my sight.
A kindred soul to comfort and hold
As the centuries linger, decay and grow old.
My love for you will still bubble like a newfound spring in the Sahara Dessert.
My hope in our love is stronger the defense of the Berlin Wall.
And my devotion could topple the Eiffel Tower with a simple flick, with ease.
My heart of unyielding desire
Is yours to do as you please.
As clear as the clouds that cling to the earth to bring forth shade when a ball of blazing fire acts like a tyrant without warning,
As crisp as the strong silent winds that flutter among the dew dipped blades of grass swaying in an uproar underneath the watchful eye of a crescent moon,
My place in this universe,
In this big blue ball with shades of green,
Across transcending and descending currents of life,
Across troubles and dangers lurking to bring certain death,
I belong with you
My heart and soul knows this to be true
And someday this world will believe it too
When I am finally right beside you.
