A Goodbye Gift Poem by michael capper

A Goodbye Gift

If I knew the last time I kissed you it would be my last,
I’d go back to that moment an stay there in the
past, forever re-wind that moment an only play it
slow because I never wanted to ever to let you go.

See your company’s like an atom that’s been supercharged
You’ve a touch that’s so electric I cannot surpass.
The last time that I held you, held you in my arms I could
feel your heart beat an I could sense your charms but now
I feel so empty cause your not here in my arms.

Each moment spent with you like magic, Magic in itself
nothing about it tragic for your heart it bought me wealth.
Now your eyes I would get lost in each an every time it always
made me wish an hope that someday you’d be mine.

Every time I’ve seen you, I see the beauty within even though
You try to bury it deep within your skin. I do so wish that I could heal you
an take your pain away because I want your soul back home and to rightly stay.
