A Grave Advice Poem by Aniruddha Pathak

A Grave Advice

I once visited an old grave
That this food for thought to me gave:
Ghosts of past best if buried be
In dark alleys of oblivion
That they rid acrid taste of onion,
For, saltier by passing day
Past settles down like a dead sea.

That no painful memories for long stay,
That it should eclipse not today,
‘Forgotten' seems the best address of yesterday.
Ghosts are best buried. Add some salt to aid decay.
