A Headache

All i could hear was drone! Waffle! Blah blah blah! Whatever my remiss i knew i did not deserve this. With bloodshot eyes, i listened to all the lies of people devoid of natural progression. Their aggression stemming from a morbid dislike of who and what i was. So, i was not really interested in the sordid details of their spurious accusations and although i was furious, i tried to maintain composure and feigned nonchalance to their primitive exposure of petty jealousy.

So, i sat across the table feeling uncomfortable and listening to the puerile presentations of sterile ideas. This was a classic case of not wanting to argue with fools, lest at best, you start feeling like one or at worst you became indistinguishable.

There i was, heart pounding. Sweat oozing out profusely and my demeanor that of a resigned person. I knew i had designed a good project proposal and haters were just being rude. Inspite of my obvious discomfort i kept my nerve, knowing any other reaction would serve to embolden my detractors and unnerve contractors. I thought, soon enough, i shall have my pound of flesh.

Pound! pound! pound! and pound!
Pain in my eye socket
Ouch! it's a headache
