A Husband's Couplet Poem by Frank Adie

A Husband's Couplet

When I was done ‘enjoying Life'
I went on my knees and asked God for a wife
The Heavens heeded my request
And sent you forth to end my quest

Each time you become headstrong
I wonder whether the Heavens did me wrong
Hence the Heavens don't make mistake
I must overlook your flaws for marriage sake

It is a great experience having you as a wife
I will not pray for something different in another life
You are the good thing I found in finding a wife
I shall not allow my joy to be ruin by strife
