A Kiss From The Beach Poem by SylvaOnyema (SUPER.T) Ubah

A Kiss From The Beach

Rating: 5.0

The waters
Came rolling
The waves
Shake their bodies
The ballooned wind appears

Virgin touch
Fingers of ice-cold water
On my steamy feet

I felt
The touch of an Angel
Breathed
The breeze of life
On the waters of Heaven

Suddenly
Like an earthquake
The thundering rain appears
Piping the
Trumpet of a ghost
Like an emissary of death
Announcing the grave
Of a lad
Floating like
A heap of refuse
On the wild wild sea

Joy accidental
Beach romance
Divorced

I quietly turned
My back
On the waters of life
On the waters of death

I kissed the beach
Goodbye
With me
Was the beach
The beach
Was with me.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The poet enjoys nature at its best. However, the poet makes us see the other side of it. That is nature could be sweet and bitter due to the sudden change in mood from joy to sadness as a result of the water drowning a child.
