A Laser Treat Poem by Marilyn Lott

It was truly beautiful, I’ll tell you
An orange line from heaven to earth
It was like a brand new planet
Had just plain given birth

It was a laser so they tell me
I don’t know that it’s unbelievable
It’s like aliens are looking down on us
Really like the earth is unstable

For you know, if I hadn’t seen it
I would believe what I saw
It would sound extremely mystical
It’s beauty is so fresh and raw

I hope that you too can observe
A sight that is so beautiful and sweet
That you will look up and one day see
A wonderful laser treat

It was beautiful amongst the fog
The hills and lakes beyond
I hope I’ll see it once again
At this place where I’m so fond
