A Lesson Learned Poem by Ima Ryma

In the Hansel and Gretel tale,
The young brother and sister know
That faith in God would never fail,
But helping God they needed do.
So we, brother and sister, know
The world around is filled with strife.
But together through all we'll grow,
Finding ways to a better life.
Whatever bad we come upon,
Knowing bad's beatable by good,
Then we'll get through it and move on,
If we're prepared best as we could.

God helps those who help themselves be
A lesson learned by you and me.
