A Lonely Man Poem by Randy McClave

A Lonely Man

A man is truly happy being alone
Seldom does he ever moan,
His life of being alone is only his
He feels and maintains total bliss.
The Devil is indeed a lonely man's foe
That fact he certainly does already know,
A lonely man doesn't lie or accuse or judge
He doesn't hate or mock or hold a grudge.
In front of him the devil throws traps and snares
The lonely man answers back with daily prayers,
The devil then shows him the world to explore
But, the lonely man truly doesn't want more.
The lonely man is happy with what he owns
For more he seldom, if ever moans,
He's satisfied with the clothes that's on his back
Modesty and humility the lonely man does not lack.
A lonely man keeps his enemy and temptations far away
Regularly to God the lonely man does pray,
He knows of the 7 deadly sins written about
And he knows not to go or take that route.
A lonely man always goes to church
Bars or clubs for others he never does search,
He knows that type of people he likes to meet
And happily he does always greet.
A lonely man never apologizes for something he's never done
From trouble he never hides or run,
And all the promises that he ever makes
Them he never forgets or ever breaks.
A lonely man never tries to out do another
And he truly loves and supports his mother,
And he tries to make others joyous and needed and glad
As was taught to him by his dad.
A lonely man never feels that much stress or strife
Until a lonely man takes himself a wife,
When the Devil can't get him to go to hell
He then sends the lonely man a greedy female.
