A Long Time Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

It did not strike me anytime
I thought departure will take long time
I have enough time to enjoy
No one can touch me or destroy

I had in life almost everything
It was available for asking
I was blessed and had no difficulty
It was given in abundance by almighty

“I was immune fro all” the though crept for a while
I am above everything and can lead life with style
No one can do any harm and I have power to rule
This was beginning of an end and I couldn’t realize as fool

Nothing remains immortal in this world
You may have all the success by becoming bold
You may turn arrogant or blinded by success
You may create iron wall around you and deny the access

The moment you are locked in impregnable fort
You may feel isolated and loose all comfort
The fear may start gripping and there will be loss of patience
It may lead you to the doom’s day and feel its presence

The fame and wealth has tendency to blind a person
It has nothing to do with reality and has special reasons
It may arrive in life like any other season with short span
It shall stay for while and desert ruining your sure plans

It has helped none and may not do so in future
You got to be reasonable and make it doubly sure
The fame and money may not stay for ever
The days are numbered and shall be over
