A Love Poem For Being In The Moment Poem by Raj Dronamraju

A Love Poem For Being In The Moment

Memorizing stairs
Counting the steps
You are where I am now
How we got here is unimportant

For a love that knows a shadow
Fully grasps the value of association
The trivia of kisses becomes bankable savings
The process of earning is immediately forgotten

Another time would not have found us friendly
Different people with different interests and needs
Travels that led to further resentment and did not intersect
Roads full of potholes slowing down traffic

The ever changing human moodmind
Hugged the thankful introduction
A barrier finally taken down
An open attitude draws the masses to the scene

We did not get here by any map or compass or sense of direction
The timing was meticulous and somebody somewhere spent a lot of time thinking about it
Plans made for those disappointed prior
The pay off comes in the touch of another
