A Love That Wasn'T Meant To Be Poem by Angelica Abad

A Love That Wasn'T Meant To Be

We met one summer, a long, long time ago
We fell in love at an early age or so.
No words were said, Yet, I know I love you
It was forbidden so we have to let go.

I never expected for us to meet again
Never even thought you'd wonder how I'd been.
But here we are now. exchanging updates
Hoping to catch up on things of late.

It's amazing that you found me, after all these years
We both are very grateful, I was even in tears.
Though, you have your own life now, one that's divine
We're in a different situation, and that's just fine.

Oh, how I wish I never felt this way
I know I shouldn't, but I still love you anyway.
Yes, we both know; Boy, how couldn't we?
This sure, is love that wasn't meant to be.

He took the effort to find you just to see if you would jump in again so make a splash?
