Oh, how I wish you could smell this
Like heaven as it's perched on a tree
Its lemony fragrance is fantastic
At least it seems so to me.
So delicate inside its huge body
Little pistils I think they are
Magnolias, my friend, so lovely
They beat many flowers by far.
Some day when you get a chance
You would be ahead of yourself
If you could see and smell a Magnolia
You might even set one on a shelf.
