It was just a simple autumn day
When I took a little ride
Upon my mare called Evie
On her back I was astride.

We went quite far I realized
Much farther than we usually go
But Evie and I enjoyed so much
Just watching the noonday flow.

Around a bend beside a small lake
A lovely home appeared
Ducks swam softly in the water
We must be lost I feared.

But it was a day that I'll remember
I hope Evie will remember it too
Simply beautiful and relaxing
