A Memory Of Winter Poem by Joseph T. Renaldi

A Memory Of Winter

Rating: 5.0

Remember those winter days
with a snow, white carpet
and the nights when the moon
resembled a scintillating target
and the nearby frozen slope
with coasting sled riders huffing
and your mouth releasing smoke
like an old locomotive puffing.

Remember those winter days
when a snow storm was mangling
and all the local roof tops
had crystal icicles dangling
and the air was extremely cold
and the chimney was always whining
but you still felt warm....
thinking of Spring soon arriving.
