Today I remember fondly,
An Event in Two Thousand and Seven,
When a Sefer Torah was presented in Cambridge,
In Memory of David Tabor ~ whose Soul is in Heaven.
A Dear Friend he was to me,
In Shul neighbours were we,
Today is the Hebrew Anniversary,
Of the Torah Giving at C.T.J.C.
Each Year on the Third of Sivan,
Being the first of the Sheloshet Yemai Hagbollah,
I always remember David,
And to me he will not be forgotten.
This year it is special,
As a Sunday also it is,
And I am now confined to a wheelchair
Trying very hard to exist.
Poetry is my Hobby,
Keeping my Memories alive,
And with YOUR Help LORD I shall continue,
And for many years may my Memories survive.
