A Misty Day Upon The Moors Poem by Dwayne Rankin

A Misty Day Upon The Moors

Rating: 5.0

The sky was see as overcast;
The land half hid within a mist.
A day of joy and self release;
To bring a sense of blissful peace.

The woodlands seen, a distance found;
The leaves and grass; all softly kissed.
By all that moisture, seen a haze;
That fell upon my easy gaze.

It was a soft and gentle day;
A day to take a simple stroll.
To walk upon life's lonely shores;
Out upon those misty moors.

'Tis then I saw, on grassy knoll,
A softened green, now grass now known.
Upon those fields, a misty sheen;
an open gate; a pathway seen.

Then as I went to take my stroll;
To me, 'twas then this beauty shown.
An invitation left for me,
To take a stroll and beauty see.

When I may walk and see each sight,
Found hid within, where mist 'twas laid.
Over, through each slight raised hill;
Down into each green laid dell.

My trail, then I walked that day,
Beside a wall of stone there made.
To walk upon life's lonely shores,
Out upon those misty moors.
