A Mother's Day Sonnet Poem by Kenneth Chance II

A Mother's Day Sonnet

Rating: 5.0

I would like to submit a sonnet
About mothers; one in particular
Kind.Nurturing.Loving. All gracious in a bonnet
The kind that would make oatmeal on cold winter days
Raspberry Blueberry Strawberry or Peach
Runny Nose or Chicken Pox aside
Infectious demeanor or doting manner cannot teach
Late nights by the bedside; Fun days working on a kite
There will always be a reason to worry about your little one
Like a jigsaw puzzle; you just want to get this one right
The appreciation this one give is immeasurable
Mothers can keep consistent the love in this world
Even when it seems consistency is at world's end
This consistent unconditional love came from a mother named Pearl
