A Murder Poem by Raniyal Niyada

A Murder

Cold harsh wind blowing strong
Slowly she walked around the lane
Breathing in and out...
Wiping out those tears trailing down...
Indulged in thoughts of past
She dint notice the culprit...
Passing the sleeping town
In the dim light of street lamps
She walked aimlessly.....
A thousand thoughts spin around her
Of hurts she had caused for all
The spikes of pain pricking her soul
And she wants to howl, and loud…
To let out the pains
That is creeping down her spine…
Reaching near the creek,
She stood there long...
Her breath heavy....
The culprit moves forward....
And finally her senses register them....
But alas too late,
The culprit was close by then...
Turning around, her eyes were blurring
All she saw was black shadows....
Opening her mouth to call out
Not a sound escapes her mouth
For the culprit holds her mouth shut
A moment later she felt the dragger
Sliding into her heart....
The walls of heart collapse...
And the blood oozes out....
A buzz in her eyes ringing loud
Slowly her consciousness fades
And then the blackness swallows her whole....
