I have heard the Robin Birds
chirping and singing- a pray
at the start of a new dawn- words
and dreams for your birthday.
I have seen the snowdrops
blooming in that sunrise,
while slowly growing-
emotion in mighty minds.
'Tis a new birthday to ring.
Free waters and swelling winds
do their planting in the spring.
'Tis another day- warm and great.
Brings happiness without weight.
'Placuit precari coeleste numen.'
Poem by Marieta Maglas
Note: The English translation of 'Placuit precari coeleste numen' is: 'It pleased to pray the heavenly deity.'(The Metamorphoses by Publius Ovidius Naso)
The images like blooming snow drops and planting in the spring by the waters and winds are excellent pictures created.
