A New Grandchild (23rd October 2020) 's Poem by Phil Soar

A New Grandchild (23rd October 2020) 's

And so another life begins, and changes are in store
This time it seems that it's the last, she doesn't want no more
But welcoming this new born treasure, isn't all that tough
As grandparents we're on cloud nine, we could'nt have enough

A brother for dear Archie, to make your lives complete
But wait till both are running round, and you're rushed off your feet
He's quite a sight, so different, from when Archie came along
Slightly chubby (in your words) , but here's where he belongs

So let's rejoice on someone new, who's here to bring us joy
At eight pound nine he's quite the very cuddly little boy
Congartulations both of you, we all are pleased as punch
By the look of him it won't be long, before we 'rush' our lunch!
