A New Point Of View Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

A New Point Of View

Rating: 4.0

No more assuming that the days ahead are many
No more wasting hours… because there are plenty
Growing old gives the brain a brand-new perspective
Setting goals into action with a newborn directive

Years have created a heap of monotone experiences
An urge emerges to be adventurous with expedience
A final chance to discover before the possibility is gone
Before library doors close and the last book is withdrawn

Taking a leap from an airplane… bravely skydiving
Satisfying a craving for excitement… and surviving
Taking an extended trip on big boat…going on a cruise
Graciously accepting invitations that were once refused

You captured what it is like to be growing old & not wanting life to pass by. Well done & enjoyable to read with it's easy flow. Thanks for sharing. Ravensong
