A New Year - Poem by Scott Doherty

Remnants of an earlier age
Now renewed with more intensity
Once a whisper, now a shout
Friendship, now no less than love
The scenery, as much the same as then
But now alive with much more zeal
With new beginings to old endings
The world is born again
