The Darkness, So Embracing - Poem by Scott Doherty

Deep within the towering walls
And yet, still on the outside looking in
Trying to stay within the light
While finding darkness embracing

Drawn backwards in this onslaught
Of loneliness, of love
And torn between it all
I find darkness embracing
