A Night From A Struggling Writer Poem by Dee Gey

A Night From A Struggling Writer

Rating: 5.0

Batting eyelashes of these
sleepy eyes staring blankly.
Mentally blocked! Not now please.

Mind of mine, exhausted still.
with hands trembling nervously.
Deadline after me. Whoosh. Rush!

The chaos. Hunger. Flood. Strike.
remember them vividly.
Entangled words. Rearrange.

Fingers tapping. Hurry while
ideas flowing freely.
Done! I submit passively.

Reading the text one last time.
More relaxed now and with ease.
