A Paint To Paint All Same Poem by Adams King

A Paint To Paint All Same

Rating: 4.5

I stand to watch my face
Painted with shame
You washed my colours
With your saliva
And left my skin pale

Among the saints is a devil
A goat to make the sheep smell
Among the disciples is a Judas
With a kiss to sell his master

A paint to paint your brothers
A shame for all to bare
A dent upon our names
A rotten egg in a nest
To make the rest bad and smell

Who stole the meat?
Who curse the day to night
Who made the home an image
To bare a tarnished name

I stood with my brothers
My own flesh and blood
And don't know who to blame
Who among ourselves
Fished a meat out of the pot

Ah! I have been drenched
The rain of shame has fallen
The accuser kept pointing fingers
To everyone of us

An act of one sinner
Yet many righteous paid
Punished for another's sake
A cross for one to bare
We were all nailed to it
