A Message To My Future Wife Poem by Adams King

A Message To My Future Wife

Rating: 5.0

What word is worthy to describe you
I do not know
Nor can my pen with ink of black and blue
Carve as it flows

I have searched for the best but have seen no best to suit you best
Not even the words in a man's thought
Nor the chorus on his head or beneath his chest

As endless as the running sky
A song for you I cannot devise
In your beauty so many wonders lie
Unknown to both the fools and wise

In bewilderment still I write
With caution not to praise thy beauty wrong
For you are more of pretty delight
That surpasses the verses of Solomon's song

I wish I could live eternity
But still eternity is not enough
I will rejoice if half your praise and quality
My little wisdom and pen could construct

To fulfil a dream to big for a dream
Now I seek eternal life
In the thought of what then will be
If I can't write for you my future wife
